Today was SUCH a fun day for us! We started out our day at our local fire station. They were having a special day for kids to come learn about the equipment, fire safety, etc. But it was so much more than that. They had jump houses, a petting zoo, and all sorts of fire/rescue vehicles. It was a great set-up, and all the workers were so friendly and great with the kids. Allison had fun with everything, but her favorite thing had to be her FIRST pony ride! I was so proud of her- she did GREAT and really held on tightly the whole time.
After hanging out at the firehouse for a bit we headed out of town to a place in Illionois that is known for their "fun farm". We mainly roamed around, but it was still lots of fun. Allison LOVED flying in a little plane (smiling picture shown), eating her first funnel cake (yum!), and choosing a little pumpkin to take home.
Tonight was also date night- yeah! Scott and I had dinner out and went to see the movie Michael Clayton. It was a very good movie even though the beginning was confusing. If you're going to see it (and I'd recommend you do), I'd read the synopsis first. :) Allison had a great time with Katie and the best news is that she kept her big girl panties dry all night. YEAH!! :) I'm sure I'll have some cute Katie and Allison pictures to post tomorrow. :)
