Nothing too exciting to report today, but I had a cute story to share, so I thought I'd take some coloring pictures today just so my post would have pictures. :) As you can see, Allison concentrates very hard while coloring, and she's starting to work on coloring the objects as opposed to just scribbling. Yeah!
On to the story. The other night we were reading a story about a blanket. It talks about all the things this little girl can do with her blanket. One of the things she can do is make it into a bridal veil. A while back Allison asked me what that was and I told her when you get married you wear a veil with your dress. End of explanation. So, we're reading along, and we get to that part again. She says, "Someday!" which she says ALL the time when she wants to express something she wants to do someday. So I said, "Really?" and she said, "Yes, when I get married I'm going to wear a veil." I said, "Do you think you want to get married?", and she replied, "Yes". So, I decided to probe further, asking, "Who do you think you'd like to marry?' She thought about it for a few seconds and then said, "Jesus?" Scott and I just laughed, and I said, boy, her future husband is gonna have some awfully big shoes to fill, huh? :)
I LOVE my daily interactions with Allison. She is PURE joy!

How sweet that she already knows the character of Jesus and realizes that she'd want to marry someone like Him! What a testament to you that she's learning such a love so early!
