Dr. Princess Allison

One day you're the doctor, one day you're the princess, and on really good days, you're both! Allison is really enjoying the new doctor kit she got from her Nana and PaPaw for her birthday. She loves treating all her patients, and last night Tolee had a full physical. Daddy was helping her, and after I took these pictures she not so kindly said to me, "You can leave now". Daddy time is sacred at our house. Mommy need not be around!

Today we headed over to Katie's to play in her back yard. When I told Allison we'd been invited she said, "And we can play in Katie's pool and wear our swimsuits?" With the forecast calling for 70 and partly cloudy, I couldn't quite promise THAT, but I said we'd still have fun swinging, sliding, etc. The girls had SO much fun playing today. This is really the first time we've watched them play together for an extended amount of time. They really are growing up. We headed inside after about an hour because it was pretty chilly, and once inside the girls started playing princess. One would lay down in Katie's bed and pretend to be asleep (Sleeping Beauty) and wait for the other to bring a prince (usually Pooh) to come kiss them awake. It was priceless! Then they played Cinderella, and one of the girls would bring shoes over and try them on the other one. Beth and I just sat there and cracked up. We also wondered what we would have done if we'd have had boys. Neither of us had a clue!

The pictures are of Allison reading to Katie the book Katie got her for her birthday. It's one of those books where you can insert the child's name, so both Katie and Allison are in the book. It's so cute! The other ones are of Allison chasing Katie to tickle her. :)
